The meeting of the Technical Committee for the Development of Electrotechnical and Telecommunications Standards was held by the National Standards Authority

The meeting took place in the technical meeting hall of the ANSA, with the participation of Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif Director of Standards and National Building Codes Development and Promotion, officials from the Electrotechnical and Telecommunications Department, representatives of relevant government agencies and the private sector.

The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Initially, Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif provided a comprehensive discussion on the importance of the committee and related topics. Subsequently, a detailed presentation on the activities of the technical committees, work procedures, and the number of approved standards was delivered by the responsible officials of the relevant sections of the ANSA.

During the meeting, following consultations and evaluations by members, Associate Professor Milad Abdullah a lecturer and head of the Electrical Engineering Department at Kabul University, was elected as the new chairperson of the committee.

The newly appointed chairperson delivered remarks on better handling of assigned tasks, while other members presented valuable suggestions for improving the committee's activities.

The meeting concluded with discussions and exchanges of views regarding the committee's work plan and the achievement of specified objectives. The activities of this committee, which had been suspended for 10 months due to a lack of connection with international organizations such as the IEC, have now resumed with the re-establishment of these connections. This committee's activities are considered an important step toward strengthening cooperation and enhancing the performance of the Electrotechnical and Telecommunications Committee at the national level.
